Some of our Families
The Hayes Family

"When my dad, Glenn Allison died in Operation Iraqi Freedom I was just seven years old, money and college were not something I was thinking about, but luckily the The Massachusetts Soldiers Legacy Fund (MSLF) were thinking ahead for me.
Thanks to them I am able to receive a great education at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts with great quality materials that I would not have access to on my own.
I am truly blessed to have had an amazing and brave father, and I am still being blessed today to have the MSLF to help me as I go through college.
My dad was taken at only 24, and as I get closer to that age, I realize I am not only living for myself, but also for him.
The MSLF makes that easier, and gives me opportunities to make him proud."

"I am so grateful for the MSLF. It has provided my son, Elia the opportunity to attend a wonderful boarding school in western North Carolina called the Arthur Morgan School. The entire experience, from start to finish, was easy and hassle free. It was such a pleasure to work with this terrific organization. No hoops to jump through or red tape to untangle. They want to help your child! They really care. I thank God every day that this fund is available for our family. Without the financial support of the fund, the dream of attending this school never would have materialized. Thank you, MSLF!" -Kinney Fontecchio, Mother to Elia. |
The Enos Family

"The Massachusetts Soldiers Legacy Fund has helped to provide the highest quality education for our son Marcus. This is something that his Father, Peter, always wanted for him. We are honored to be apart of a fund that does such an amazing job of honoring the men and women that have lost their lives in sacrifice for our country. The fund not only honors these men and women, but also ensures that their children have all that is needed for their education which only serves to ensure a chance for these children to achieve their goals. I know that Peter is always watching over us and that he would be so proud of all that his son Marcus has achieved and will achieve in his future. We are thankful to the MSLF for the big part they have played in helping Marcus to achieve his goals and fulfill all the dreams that his Father would want for him." - Shannon Enos, Mother of Marcus.
The Kennedy Family
"When my husband Kyran was killed in action during Operation Iraqi Freedom, I wondered how I would manage day to day - the thought of managing college tuition was out of the question. In addition, my youngest struggles with learning disabilities and a cognitive processing disorder making higher education an unlikely possibility. The Fund has generously offered to help with the additional tutoring and training needed for him to be successful in school and now, he too, has the aspiration of attending college. MSLF has made my husband’s goal, of each of our children receiving a University education, a reality. Chris is studying psychology in his junior year Norwich University and Kate is a sophomore in Marine Sciences at University of New England. Peter Travato and the many generous donors have been a God-send to us by honoring Kyran’s sacrifice through assisting his family and making dreams." - Kathy Kennedy, Mother of Chris, Kate, and Kevin.
"The MSLF makes my life easier so I don't need to worry. I can focus on my education because of the great people that have donated. I can go to the best school for my major. I love the UNE and what I am doing here!" - Kate Kennedy |
"Because of the MSLF I can continue to attend Norwich, even in a bad economy when many of my friends have had to leave school. I'm thankful MSLF is there to help out with all of the fees and tuition military survivor benefits don't cover. The Fund has given me the chance to make the most of my life." - Chris Kennedy
